Veterans Affairs (VA) Examinees

What We Do

We support VA’s disability claim process by providing impartial evaluations to support your claim.

Examinee Portal

How the Process Works

Step 1: File a claim with VA.

Step 2: If VA assigns your claim to us, we'll contact you to schedule any appointment(s). If we're unsuccessful, an appointment may be set on your behalf with a provider closest to you.

Step 3: An appointment package will be mailed to the address indicated on your claim. You can also access your appointment information by registering for your Examinee Portal account.

Step 4: Attend your claim exam(s) with your scheduled provider.

Step 5: We'll retrieve all the necessary exam findings to complete your claim before sending it to VA for review.

How to Prepare for Your Exam

Before Your Appointment
Submit your records to VA.
  • If you have new medical records and/or diagnostic test results that you have not yet included in your VA medical record, please submit them to VA before your appointment.
  • You may bring records to your appointment, but our provider cannot submit these records to VA for you. If you’ve already submitted these, you do not need to bring them in because VA already provided them to us.
  • In order to have this information considered as part of your claim, you are required to submit these records in one of the following ways:
    • Upload medical records online using VA’s claim status tool at www.va.gov.
    • Submit medical records through your accredited representative or Veterans Service Officer (VSO).
    • Mail medical records to your nearest VA regional office.
Day of Your Appointment
Plan to arrive at your appointment 15 minutes early.
  • If you’re late, your provider may cancel your exam. Bring a valid photo ID and a list of your current medications.
  • For everyone’s safety, firearms and weapons are not allowed at your appointment.

Telehealth Mental Health Exams

We offer VA-approved telehealth mental health exams for eligible examinees. Similar to an in-person exam, you can video call with a provider from the comfort of your home.
